Summary:Want to use a different font than the eBay standard?

Using fancy fonts is a great way to catch the eye of bidders. But it is important to remember that just because you have a unique font on your computer does not mean that all your bidders have it installed on their own computers too. Those without the font installed will just see the default font their internet browser uses.

Here are some of the most common fonts used to dress up auctions.

Code What it does

<font face="arial">text here</font> Arial
<font face="verdana">text here</font> Verdana
<font face="times new roman">text here</font> Times New Roman
<font face="georgia">text here</font> Georgia
<font face="'Comic Sans MS"> text here</font> Comic Sans MS

The Comic Sans MS has become very popular in eBay auction listings, and it usually comes installed on all new computers, so you shouldn't have too many people looking at your auction who are unable to see that font.

Don't forget to put the font tag at the very beginning of your description, and then at the very end of your description, insert the </font> tag.
