Summary:Including Your Auction Terms in Your Description

It is important you make your auction terms very clear in your auction description. This will save you time later, when buyers claim to have not known you only accept US funds, or argue that you never stated you do not allow refunds.

Here are some common things you should include in your auction terms:

  • Cost of shipping
  • If returns / refunds are available
  • Whether you accept other currencies
  • Whether you ship outside of the US (yes, you have the option of stating this as an auction option, but especially if you ship to the US only, it is worth another mention)
  • What forms of payment you accept and when you expect to receive it by
  • What days you ship on

When you include these in your aucton, you have clearly outlines all your own eBay rules (as long as they don't contradict eBay's own rules) and set your standards and expectations for the auction.
